The Confluence Project is an ambitious, long-term undertaking. Investments in land acquisition, facilities and public programs will ultimately exceed $200,000,000. Clearly, no one organization or type of agency can accomplish these goals alone.

Non-Profit Partners
Since 1997, the Project has been led by a working partnership of non-profit organizations, brought together with encouragement and seed support from The McKnight Foundation. The non-profits represent diverse missions and geographic parts of the bi-state region. They also bring unique, complementary skills to the Project, while also continuing their good works in the community as independent organizations.

Cooperating Agencies
Through the years, the Project has achieved important conservation, heritage and recreation milestones, many of which are described in this web site. These accomplishments are only possible through collaborative relationships with a broad set of public agencies at local, state, and national levels.
